Whenever, I used to enter the school in the morning, I used to read these lines which is a simple four line prayer to God. In my school days below few lines were engraved in cement on the top of front entrance gate of our school. Let’s see from where, actually these lines have come from & also try to understand that beautiful prayer devoted to Almighty God. But over here, I am not going to discuss about that love song picturised on Saif Ali Khan & Deepika Padukone, but about the lyrics of an old prayer to God “Tumhi ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi Ho” from where I think, some lyrics of the said song in movie “Cocktail” are taken. When a relationship grows with time, people often tend to change and it usually ends up to unfavorable situations but when friendship turns into love when your best friend turns into your lover, a friend who’s with you not only for the chatter but also for being able to be present by your side in every ups and downs and to be someone who’d understand you when no one else could, that’d only ensure that come what may, nothing would ever change, because there would be nothing left to change as both of them would already be knowing every single thing about one another that nothing would be left to surface and change anything between them in any way.There is a popular hindi song “Tumhi ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi Re” from movie “Cocktail” going on TV, FM radio etc. In this song, the lover asks the other to stay the way he has always been, to behave the way he has always behaved when they were friends. While this song already says so much about love or the higher love to be precise, there’s an even more important thing that this song states something that is rather necessary for a perfect relationship or bond. It states how ravishing it feels to find love in your best friend and vice versa. This song portrays the beauty of Love that begins with friendship. This song clearly indicates how insolent the world’s validation becomes once a person falls in love with someone who would stand beside him/her be it in peace or in calamity. This song expresses the emotions of a lover and what she wants from the person she is in love with. “Tumhi ho bandhu sakha tumhi” not only depicts an exalted lover expressing her passion for the other but also states a certain definition of the higher love. Now, how can such a pleasing movie miss out on having a delightful song that tells the tale of a heart drunk on love? Obviously, it can’t! Just like the name goes, this movie is a heartwarming mix of care, friendship and love that leaves it’s viewers in awe after every watch.
